Chain Reaction is off to the editor!

I’ve published three books with my writing group, and it’s high time I did one on my own. It’s a first effort, which in the writing world can be somewhat like the first pancake, but it’s my learning novel. I’ve come a long away since I started with a couple of short stories and decided to link them, along with a handful of others, into a longer narrative. I’ve rewritten a couple of them completely, from the ground up, thanks to what I’ve learned on my journey. The manuscript went to the editor last night, and I’m already musing changes. And that was the real struggle, if I’m being honest. I had to make myself stop fiddling with it, tweaking sentences and moving scenes, and give it to someone that can look at it with fresh, objective eyes. It’s probably going to be painful. We will see. I just hope that my first effort, at the very least, will showcase my potential.
