I have an opportunity to submit a short story to Kevin J. Anderson\u2019s third anthology produced with his grad students for Western Colorado University, titled MIRROR, MIRROR. I may be getting bigger than my britches here, but when I was a kid my dad had a shirt that said, \u201cIf you can\u2019t run with the big dogs, stay under the porch.\u201d I think about that a lot when I\u2019m looking for courage. Mr. Anderson announced it July 28, the muse grabbed me, and today I finished a first draft that I\u2019m pretty happy with. Time to let it marinate before edits.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
